At the 9th edition of the European Conference on Service-Learning in Higher Education, EASLHE presents the FIRST EDITION OF THE EASLHE CONFERENCE AWARDS.
The Conference Awards recognize outstanding contributions to the field of service-learning presented at the conference. The awards promote scholary excellence in service-learning research, innovation and impact in service-learning practice, strong integration of civic, pedagogical and community dimensions, and high-quality academic presentation and dialogue.
DISTINGUISHED RESEARCH PAPER AWARD
Award for outstanding research contributing to service-learning theory, methodology or empirical knowledge
SERVICE-LEARNING PRACTICE
AWARD
Award for outstanding innovative practice with demonstrated pedagogical and/or community impact
SPECIAL DISTINCTION FOR THEMATIC CONTRIBUTION
Award showcasing the contribution that most strongly engages with and reflects the current conference theme.
NOMINATION & EVALUATION PROCESS
Presentations are nominated for the awards by the moderators of the sessions. The final evaluation of the presentations is done by a jury consisting of members of the EASLHE GM and the local organizing institution.
Evaluation of the presentations is based on
- the submitted abstract
- the quality of the oral presentation at the conference.

AWARD CEREMONY
The Award Ceremony will take place on Friday 9 October at 12pm, at the closure of the 9th Conference on Service-Learning in Higher Education at the University of Bamberg.
